Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI)  


MQI is a broad-based Islamic organization representing true and moderate vision of Islam, working for peace and integration. It promotes education of classical Islam and modern Islam. MQI was founded by His Eminence Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in October 1981 with a long term strategic vision to promote religious moderation, peace, love, harmony and modern Islamic sciences. Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, a professor of international law and a prominent authority on Islam has authored more than 400 published works on Islamic scholarship, law and Sufism. Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri developed his organizational network in more than 90 countries in the span of just 30 years. 

It has expanded to 90 countries around the globe. Its emphasis is improving the social, cultural and religious condition of all people, enlightening the masses with the knowledge of their rights and duties and presenting a realistic, rational and scientific picture of Islam’s gentle, tolerant and just nature. It explicitly rejects terrorism and all other unjust violence as being entirely un-Islamic.

Minhaj-ul-Quran International organization has been built on the concepts of a peaceful, loving, tolerant and moderate interpretation of Islam employing the methods of Sufism.

The headquarters of Minhaj-ul-Quran International was inaugurated in 1987 by Tahir Allauddin Al-Qadri Al-Gillani who is regarded as the organization’s spiritual founder.

The objective of Minhaj-ul-Quran is to create harmony in different societies between different cultures, ethnic and religious communities through social interaction, interfaith dialogue and spreading the messages of toleration, respect and love for others and the benefits of integration. It also actively promotes human rights and women’s rights around the globe.

Our mission’s are peace, love, knowledge, democracy, human rights, women rights, equality and social economic justice and these are essential part of true Islamic teachings based on the Quran and Sunnah.
